Alan Turing pardon appeal
Alan Turing is a Milton Keynes hero. He changed the world by inventing the programmable computer and helping to crack the Enigma code, shortening WW2. Despite this he was prosecuted for "gross indecency" with another man and chose to take drugs to "cure" him rather than serve a prison sentence. As a result he committed suicide two years later. The government is refusing to pardon him but you can help to try and change this by clicking here to sign an e-petition to force a parliamentary debate.
