Meru Virtual Cell Wireless Networking
Congestion and interference cause wireless networks to operate slowly and drop connections. To alleviate these issues, Meru Networks has designed a unique “Air Traffic Control” system that overcomes this problem allowing a high density of access points to operate on the same channel in a virtual cell. The wireless network is controlled centrally to eliminate co-channel interference. This technology is superior to its rivals in many, although not all, situations. Lynx Networks has installed Meru wireless at several locations and the resulting networks have been fast and reliable.
